After buying my D2 on a whim with an uncalculated eBay bid and having not seen it beforehand last year, I have grown to absolutely love it and everything associated with it. I have discovered a satisfaction in tinkering and spending endless hours problem solving. Something I hate with envy on my Audi.
Once again, an inconspicuous eBay add has caught my eye...were it not a landcover I would have simply glossed over it. For £2500 and what looks to be in good nick, I'm tempted to go and see it. 2004 TD4 with 126k on the clock.
As a D2 owner I feel I should laugh at it but I do like it more and more every time I look at it. I have found that any car I hate before owning it turns out to be brilliant (peugeot 206, Skoda Superb, D2 and now perhaps a Freelander).
Question is, are the Gaylanders really that bad as many on here make them out to be, or is it really just friendly banter of Discovery owners looking down on it....like a bigger brother looks down on his little brother sometimes, but actually really likes him .
