Thing is its listed as a series 11 and it clearly is not really a representative vehicle of what 99% of Landy lovers would deem a series of any sorts.
Its what most would now call a hybrid.
Proof would be could you export this vehicle to the US with its paperwork and it not be crushed?
My betting is it would be razor blades within hours of the US customs stopping their rolling about laughing...

using the us as 'proof' is pretty pointless, you couldn't even export a 200tdi that had a 300 tdi lump fitted, different country, different rules

the uk is totally different, up to 96 the triggers broom scenario was perfectly legal so quoting the usa is pointless

I have built transits and dropped in a v8 lump with sd 5 speed box, up to 96 its still a transit

built a box section ford pop... rat motor and jag irs... only bits that looked original were some of the panels... but they were fibreglass... nothing original but pre sva perfectly do-able

usa, france Germany etc all have totally different rules so doesn't really mean a thing?? we r still fortunate in the uk but if the eu gets its way... :(

in fact if I recall correctly its illegal to import a kinder egg in your luggage to America... doesn't mean u cant buy one in the uk so not really that relevant either :) lol

cheers steve

Easter reminder: Kinder Eggs banned in the United States – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

i'd be pretty ****ed if they crushed my kinder egg before i'd built the racing car :(

cheers steve

:hysterically_laughi only in the US!

Point was when does the true description become hazy to what the object really is?
Have also built cars in the past and swapped motors etc, and changed log book to suit, but isnt there a % of originallity required to describe the vehicle as it originally was.?
