hi all

disco owner in ireland here looking for some tips,

I wanna get a roof tent and rack (with spots), diff protection and a winch,

also looking for a second hand airstream trailer

any ideas???

plenty of ideas here mate.

roof tents are easy, there aint that many on the market. expect to spend around £800-£1000 for a new one. 2nd hand rarely crop up and when they do their only 1-200 less than new!

roofracks, keep your eye out. i just seen an ARB one go on fleabay for £99! gutted i missed it... make sure your rooftent and rack are compatible, or you dont mind cutting your rack. cos there will be some issues with how the tent folds out and things. worth checking out before parting with your $$$

winch... tons on the market, depends on your budget and what you want to pull. if you want to go on an overland trip, fully loaded your looking at a 9 or 12,000lb winch. superwinch or warn are your best bets as you dont want one to fail. expect to pay around £1000 for a good one with a good bumper.
