now im in New Zealand just about to board a ship to the Ross Ice Shelf in Antartica from Invercargill.
Had a day to spare so thought i wold go to the Museum of transport untill i found out the price was $30 per person,
So i went to a hardware shop instead
https://www.ehayes.co.nz/Motorworks-Collection/Hayes-motorworks-collection-__I.8574
that was free
there were also a few classic yank tanks and also a 1908 buick which the family purchased in 1910 and its the same family that owns the store.
Any way im out of internet for 30 days as penguins dont need it so have no server down there

You should have gone to the museum, yes it’s a bit pricey but IMO well worth it, you could easily spend the whole day there,

Hayes in Invercargill has got to be the best hardware shop ever, Shopped there many times and they do seem to have everything you ever need. Hope you managed to have a look in the basement. Have a great trip. the only other thing worth doing in Invercargill is eat oysters.

Talking of Invercargill. Has anyone seen the Kiwi film 'Goodbye Pork Pie'. They jump a mini into a moving freight train car, the type with the central opeing doors. I was very impressed as a teenager. Haven't seen the film since so might not be a great as I remember.

Missed that one. Remember Porkies. Was that similar?
