Bought a set of interior LED lights off ebay for a couple of quid.

CLEARLY stated they were for a freelander 1.

Swapped them this morning, they're about 2mm too long.

The front 2 fitted in ok, at a squeeze.

The rear 1 didn't and I accidentially snapped 1 of the things off the plastic that hold the bulb.

DOH!!

Anyway, they seem ok and very white. Will take a pic tonight so you can all see my bright interior LEDs :)

p.s. I had already fitted 2 huge LED clusters in the boot that brightens up the whole street lol.

The rear bulb is a 31mm festoon bulb. The front is a 34mm festoon bulbs.
There are several ebay sellers doing bulbs that would work and fit fine. The brightest types generally of the COB verity.
I can’t link ebay for some reason though :(

Way to long then. You can get COB LEDs in 31mm and 34, or is it 36mm? COBs are the way forward though ;)

whats a COB?

COB = Chip On Board.
Like this.

I emailed the seller several days ago but not heard anything from them!

I wired in a couple of COB DRLs on the C pillars of my 3 door and its bright enough to use as an operating theatre. At under a fiver for the pair it was rude not to!

Where did you wire them into?

Has anybody put a led bulb in the rear boot light, what bulb is it ?

I took the bulb out and wired in 2 huge LED clusters that are stuck on the inside, higher up to the left and right of the back door (about head height).

I wired them in to the boot light (offside rear panel). Ran the cable under the trim and up the pillar on the offside, under the carpet and behind the trim on the nearside. The current draw is tiny, so no issue running the cabling. Note that you have to run earth and live to both, you can't pick up a local earth point as it appears the earth is switched.
