Classic Interesting truck

Its more likely to be an Oldsmobile V8 diesel (as some fool made an adaptor kit) which would serve you better as a boat anchor, horrid un-reliable engines....
Fairly sure the Olds was a 350 ci [5700cc] this'll have the 6.2 GMC V8 - much better engine. The Olds could've been a good'un were it not for typical GM underdevelopment/penny pinching - the single handedly put the US off diesel cars for 20 odd years!

Two friends of mine in Belgium had ex USAF Chev Blazers (with the 6.2) a few years ago & were very happy with them. Drove one through Antwerp in the early hours of the morning & boy did it have some torque, lovely exhaust note as well - a mixture of V8 burble & muted diesel clatter.
I would have thought though that a heavy iron lump like that would not be suitable for a RRC

chevy/olds same motor. all of gm cars shared same platform engine,transmission and hundreds of other parts. that modified 350 to a diesel was a disaster. the 6.2 diesel is ok low hp reallt for the size. but is a good multi-fuel engine

Actually loads were done - Samurai were big in GM conversions - with the 6.2 and later 6.5 - one of the mags did a road test and rated highly - I know of one in a rotten classic - the bloke wants to buy my one ten to convert. Not selling it to him though....................
