Intercooler Clean

Hi everyone,

I have read that on the big services on Discovery's the intercooler needs cleaning out.

Whats the best stuff to clean it out with?

I have been told that the Land Rover make a intercooler wash fluid but is expensive.

Soak it in Kero (parafin) then wash it out with gasoline, hang it up overnight to let it air out, this will clean it out well.

I know this because I was horrified earlyer last week when I saw the state of the intercooler pipes and inlet manifold because of the EGR. I am going to clean my manifold out using the same method this week.
