Hi,
Has anyone else had any problems getting insurance after converting to the 200di engine? My current under-writers won't touch it, they are now looking for new quotes but as it is a pick-up cab it ahs to go down as a commercial vehicle, i did say i could put a different roof on, but it has to be 'as manufactured'. I did say it's 46 years old and had no idea how it was manufactured, but, they weren't having it.
As there are so many 200tdi conversions i would have thought insurance was pretty standard on them!? (currently trying lancaster as my current insurer, i am aware of all the other landy specialists and if needed will try them later, was just after inital thoughts from people and problems encounted / solutions round the problem)
