I have begun to have an intermittent problem with my indicators. When i indicate left or right all the indicators come on!! I have noticed that the green light on the instrument panel doesnt come on, but strangely the green one for the trailer does!
When the indicators do decide to behave properly both the green lights come on, the correct one for the left/right and the green one for the trailer.
I am not so good with electrics but is this a relay issue or an earthing problem. It seems strange that its only the indicators if its an earthing problem.
Any help much appreciated. Mark

Check your hazard switch - the whole system goes through this switch. Could be the connector block is loose. Just to give you a heads up.

Quite likely that the relay has got wet - i have broken 3 just from going through puddles! Take of the fuse box cover, and normally the carpetty stuff that surrounds it, remove the2 bolts, one either side, and then take out the relay. It is usually blue, but itll be the big one with 4 pins on the bottom, probably saying something like 'electronic indicator relay' on it. They are only about £5, much cheaper than a new hazard light switch, and they are also often free if you own a pair of pockets and know a breakers yard nearby :)
They tend to get full of water, or even condensation, which at best corrodes the circuitry, but usually shorts something out and 'modifies' the little chip on it giving rise to all sorts of odd behaviour. I had a permanent trailer light, i have also had indicators the flash about 3 times a minute, all sorts of things.
