In need of an ABS pump for my TD5.

The 'ABS' 'TC' and (!) warning lights came on, put it into a garage and diagnosed it as the ABS pump, brought in someone (not from said garage) and tried to clean up/refurb but the lights were back within the week.

OK, need more info, can you get any codes from the garage ? Unless the return motor is shot its probably not beyond repair.Esp if its a shuttle valve fault, the repair trick for Disco 2's works equally well on Defenders. But only if the garage are aware of the method.

I could try, I'm not convinced this garage is competent of repair, wasn't filled with confidence about them. They were very lenient to replacing it. Any recommendations of garages (near or far) or sourcing a suitable pump?

If I was going to put my DiscoII into a garage for repair, the only one I would use would be GEMM 4x4 in Larbert near Falkirk.
They are not the cheapest but when I have used them they have fixed the Disco to a high standard and I've never had to take it back.
They eat, sleep and sh*t Land rovers.

id certainly think before i spent much money ,used disco 2 modulator in good condition can be picked up for £50,i have several times ,ive known pump bearing fail and damage block meaning the whole lot did need replacing ,but generally its shuttle valve

Thanks, not that cost isn't an issue but I really don't mind paying a little more for a trust worthy garage especially one which maybe has a soft spot for Land Rovers! Thanks again Biggeeeee
