fuel, boost and temp....clock is why watches were invented, and volts...if you can't start the car or the lights are dimmer than usual, time to check the battery!

Volt gauge stopped my alternator bursting into flames when it was overcharging as it seized up.

Mine has a fuel gauge and a temperature gauge and that's all I need. I could do with something to fill the third hole though.

I find the more gauges that you have the more there is to worry about, like "too much information".

I dont think the fuel gauge is more important than the temp gauge so l will move temp next to the speedo.
Have to decide on the next two holes so is it boost and volts or boost and fuel or even volts and boost ?
I'm going to fit five gauges in all, two in the middle dash somewhere maybe next to the tilt meter thingy.

My wife ignores the gauges and warning lights altogether, a red light coming on simply means that you need to slow down a bit, that is of course ok until things stop altogether.You don't fancy ones that indicate "running costs" and/or "repair costs to date" then?
I would put temp, fuel, volts on the dash in front of you, and put boost and clock in a centre console. I have a rev counter as well so my dash goes speedo, revs, temp, fuel and then in the centre console it goes clock, boost, volts, but the only one I use with any regularity of those is the volts, the boost is more to diagnose problems and fill the extra hole rather than being usefull day to day.

Then theres always the three in one gauges, that means you can have 15 running. Might need a 16th on the extra battery
