Hi All,

New to the site but thought it would be handy as I have an old Freelander I'm doing up.

I'm not a mechanic at all but have had my fair share of old cars to get some practice on.

I am desperately trying to find a transponder receiver ring (see attached) for my Landover Freelander TD4 GS. It’s a 2001 reg X332UUA which I believe is the BMW engine?

I have taken the part off and it is a rover part and it has no cables attached it is just the coil with a 4 pin connector that connects to the wiring loom under the steering column.

Has anyone ha any experience with this? I am sure the ring is the problem as I took the chip out the key and held it closer to the receiver which worked for about 6 months.

Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the link unfortunately it's not the same which is what's not only driving me crazy but really confused to why mine is different.

Mine has no cables as part of it and has a flat straight line 4 pin connector

See attached
