I'm sure it will be ok mate, your motor all sorted now?

Yeah should be finished this weekend, just need to get it serviced before we leave and sort out spare parts.

Theres 3 of us in 90's right? We should probably sort out sharing some parts between us..

Hows your 90 going have you fitted that beast of a engine yet? :D

We attempted morocco this march but had engine failure on the way so never made it.
We are planning to do it again in April 2014 over the easter holiday, less time off work.

Bit of an update on things:

Disco booked into the garage for the following:

Rear wheel bearings + EBC performance discs and green stuff pads
ALL fluids changed inc. diff oils
Near air compressor for suspension (keeping working old as spare)
Full waxoyling (well why the hell not!)
Full service

Before it goes in:
Front wheel bearings, discs and pads (now done)
Snorkel fitted (still not had the courage to drill the body!)
Sump guard (got one cheap on Disco3.co.uk - though may fit after else it'll get in the way of the oil change!)

Roof tent was put on for the Bristol and West show and hasn't made it off since, thanks to having the F2 for work at present, so, that and the roof rack will probably stay on now if i can work out what to use for work for October until we go (have to hand F2 back end Sep and roof tent doens't fit in work car park)

The event shelter has been tested and i can confirm it is an excellent bit of kit, thank you A/F

Internal storage system sorted, combination of Plastor boxes and Wolf Boxes

Flatdog Wolf bag on the roof in fornt of the roof tent for bedding and alike (saves bringing it down the ladder every morning)

Sounds good :)

In my roof tent there is enough room to leave bedding and pillows and everything all in the tent?

Just a alternator upgrade and full service left for me. :D

My prep work has turned into a full-on underside custom build with the help of our resident Mr. Noisy (legend). :praise:

A full detailed thread inc pics will follow in the next week or so. :bounce:

Top stuff :) love to see it when it's done :)

I'm preety sure that the gearbox is a sealed for life unit though but just check on disco 3 forum

What's the plan for the laning trip?!

Either North Wales - could go to Shell Island too, but, lanes are probably a bit extreme for me to do at least, or, go to Leicestershire / Northamptonshire / type part of the world and do some more gentle lanes?

Or any other suggestion really.

North Wales could work, just won't involve as much laning for us all, but, I'm fine with that, my friends in their F2 won't be doing much either

I'm happy with any of the above, was more after what date really? If I recall it was weekend of the 28th but I would quite like to go to Adventure Overland

How about we incorporate a laning trip around the area of the overland show so we could lane one day, do the show the other and camp fri and sat nights?

It has to be that weekend for me as i'm simply unavailable any other time between now and Morocco!!!

i fort yam was coming to the one the other week? ;)

I would like to go to the adventure overland weekend(stratford int it) and would like to do some landing etc as well.

Keep me posted please gents. :)

Thought you were organising it  (and what other laning trip?!)

Think we're going to go to the overland show and stop for a night, some more camping practise in the D3. Not sure about laning it on the Sunday though - it's currently in the garage costing me a hell of a lot... i don't think i'll want to do anything other than polish it ;) (i'm joking... i've never polished a car in my life and don't plan to start!)
