wont teach you to suck eggs but i use a clear plastic tube to go between pump feed and filter to no exactly if air or not,its worth also trying with full battery charge jump leading another battery to it,to rule out cranking speed
 
Good job i'm off wednesday then..off to the shop of amazing things for new pipes (not sure if i can get clear ones that will handle pressure), some injector cleaner/snake-oil and a new battery charger as mine appears to be on permanent loan at a 'mates'..grr..
 
there no pressure to speak of on inlet side of pump 11 psi any plastic pipe will dojust remove old pipe from connectors and fit clear then you will know rather than speculate,injector cleaner and stuff is bollocks they run at 280 bar,the best place to bleed is inlet feed banjo on front of pump that way you remove all air
