Hi, had a problem with my ignition switch ( electrical end ) and was told by paddocks that they are now obcalete, so found one at pegasus parts wich is supposed to be a replacement part for a petrol series 3 land rover, i noticed straight away that its only half the size if the origanal, and the terminal's are all small, other than that its got the nylon orifice for the stalk from the main steering lock part to fit into, basically i can't see any way that this can do the job, Hoping somebody can prove me wrong and suggest an easy outcome, I will get in touch with pegasus on monday, but in the meantime i hope to get some info from you lads, Thanks in advance, Pete

What diameter is your original?

That sounds like the later version fitted to 90's and defenders part number PRC2735 I have one on my lap bought by mistake. Does it have 162SA written in centre?
