i think my vcu is gone what now

i did 2 tests on my new 2me freelander the lines i put on the vcu stayed facing after a drive and i cant turn the rear wheel when its jacked up can it be fixed ?or is it new parts cos i know they cost big time will it do any damage if i dont sort it asap :confused: we got our first nipper on the way and i want to keep my costs down [so why did i buy a landy dooo]

if it wer mine I'd be droppin the oil out the IRD and rear diff ;)

if its bin used like that for a while it could be full o bits o metal ;)

makes a very effective grinding paste to wear wots left of the gears ;)
thanks for the tip think i will do ,the motor was parked up from xmass till now so that might have done it ?
 
Stupid question but when you put two lines on the vcu are you sure you put them at the correct places ?? (I think it's better to put a mark on the two drive shafts instead ?) And turning the wheel when it's jacked up needs a certain amount of effort/strength as far as I can see from others who did the test ? (Some even mentioned to put an extra length of tube before they could get some movement in it ????)
