ur not wrong there , seeing the inner strut is also the same age it just makes so much sense to buy the strut complete , seeing it also has those seals

indeed when i first realised i needed new front struts and after reading up it was soooooo much easier to just buy the complete item

not worth keeping the old ones, still they’ve done well and lasted at least 10 x years

cost wise for genuine , fronts £150 each rears £170 each , inc vat so in fairness i thought that wasn’t bad , considering the work they have to do

got the front ARB bushes and drop links to replace , just been reading and didn’t realise the ARB is a hydraulic one for the DSC , something else i’ve learnt today

now got the front jacked up and on axle stands, just waiting for a break in the weather
Have to admit, it did cross my mind that if the seals are that tight and most likely machine/robot fitted(?), would he be able to get them to the tightness required.
I wonder if he has a video showing 1: his struggle tightening them and 2: his disco on the bump stops after the air leaked out :D :D :D

here’s the other video he done with the height

My own response is why??? What possible need is there to drive in that position. I usually hate to stereo-type but he's just proof that Americans need a slap

If it must be done , go the whole hog, rather than pretending you've got a monster truck
