hi all
im 16 and of course driving is now about a year off and personally i think a landrover defender 90 with a 300i engine is the perfect first car for me because ive looked at various insurance quotes and they are not too high. i also love landrovers to bits and cant wait to get one. BUT i cant seem to find a landy thats around £2000 and i have looked at loads but all of the ones that are "perfect" seem to have some slight problems which will most likely turn into bigger ones later on.. or they have no rear windows. i would rather avoid any extra expenses as around £2000 is really really pushing it for my parents... i do not want the 1988 models because they are crap. just a defender 90 300i with a high milage (within reason) because i know landy's are very durable, and mainly aesthetic problems like cracking paint or rust.

prices have seriously dropped this last week or 2, Thainy's 300tdi didn't sell on ebay and he was only asking £1400 for a really clean, straight example.Good point, few and far between.
Finding a decent Disco'll be hard enough too
