i currently own a 110 defender along with a e92 M3,previosly ive had a disco3, an M5 and a X5 SD, off road the Landies are better, but on the road the beemer is tops also BMW dealers are more professional and helpful, LR dealers promise the earth when your buying but fail to deliver once money has changed hands,one area the beemers come out on top is engines, for example the X5s.d is 3 litre but produces nearly 300bhp and 580n of torque and still returns 27mpg in real world driving,So both brands have there own merits and it would be boring if we all thought the same.
