Many a bling mota has very bad running gear! Anyone can put bling on not everyone can maintain their Landrovers running gear. Jai

Aint got the 30 quid at the moment, only get 9k a year so have to budjet and beg borrow and swap parts as and where I can. If I can sell something then I'm flush and can buy some bits:)

don't come bleating hen ya brakes fook up and YOU hurt some inocent bystander.

ever drove a car when its brakes fail?

Buy a can of red rubber grease.

Use it on all parts of hydraulics being repaired, joints, seals, pistons, and even threads of hoses. Later you will probably bless the day!

Rub generously over all exposed metal parts such as caliper pistons, and it will protect against corrosion, which brake fluid will not. Brake fuid mixes with water to a considerable extent and washes off.

All Landy owners should have a big can of red rubber grease.

Remember, liberally grease your rubbers before insertion.

Did you say BUY a can?

Good advice anyway..
Been getting some stick about repairing my own calipers so I'm going to use some second hand ones for now (thanks Boydy) I'll probably kill my self or someone else though the use of somebody elses calipers but I cant see much happening on the way to the mot and back as it will be on a trailer. you're all safe for now:)

Got an engine for sale so when that is sold then perhaps I can buy some reconditioned calipers, reconditioned in as what I was goin ta do to em, fit servicable pistons and seals and then give em a good hammerin ta see if they leak.

need an engine do ya?.....1986 2.5 N/A diesel in good running order just taken out of a ninety yesterday to make way for a monster of a motor (not mine I might add)...offers:D

i'd much prefer to fit a set of original reconditioned pistons and calipers than to use those nasty (but very cheap) china made versions that the likes of britpart will sell you

first the guy who's kids died is in the lro magazine it wasent the brake's it was a number of many things for intstance front radius arm broken re welded 20 mm out for starters the car rolled thats what killed em if you read the landy was out of aliment .second the mot man checks your motors thats what there for even if you had a leak you would still have brakes thats what the brake light on all motors is for it tells you your fluid is getting low before it actully runs out!!!!
