Lovely job.

gearbox was done to the same standard,

funny you should say that, am after another after this one

i'll have to admit, mine is nothing like that, pics are to follow for how i'm getting on, thanks for everyones advice

dont take redundancy yet , am on me way up fer a beer with yer one day , :D

least yer findin time to get yer series done, i try and make time but it never works ,

yer just missing a few piccies , everyone likes pickies, , makes it easier to explane when yer got a pic to look at , can help with stuff easier

Hi, Just as a question (i've just purchased another 2 1/4 series 3 diesel, after a 8 year break!)
With my previous 2 1/4 diesel, I remember that the pump mounting bracket had been filled to allow further retarding?)

Even though I replaced the timing chain (with a dial gauge), it was still happiest in the filled slots. - question is why?

Also I notice on your pictures, the mounting bracket appears to be the 'pinch type', does this bracket give the extra flexibility you need?

regards

David (happily back Drovering!)

timing wasnt accurate enough meaning master spline wasnt 20 degrees from front securing stud, worn skew gear and cam teeth ,pump not set up right
