Have you simply dissed the battery and pumped the break pedal to drain any residual current then reconnect battery, it make take overnite for fault code to go, or I,m probably wrong!!
finaly got the problem sorted the ecu had failed causing all the probs so just to thank evryone for the help/suggestions cheers
Hi guys.
I think I have the same problem with my p38 diesel. After putting the diagnosis machine shows renew ecu. I don't know what to do any help pls.
Engine cutting out when lifting off sounds like a problem with the FIP fuel quantity servo. Wammers is the one who would know. If it is a fault with the EDC, second hand ones are cheap enough on Ebay, make sure you get the right one for your year of car. It will need re-syncing to the BECM.Thanks buddy let's wait I believe the gurus will show up in no time, because driving a car that whenever you relise the foot from fuel padel it cuts of power is problem.

Depending where you are someone on LZ map near you may be willing to come do it if you bribe them with tea/cake.
The codes a nanocom 06 give you will tell them exactly what problem(s) is/are.
