How to override dds pump

In the interest of continuity, it would have been bette to carry on and include your question in your other thread you have on your ongoing starting issues.

In answering you question "without damaging anything" you can't, the cover there is to provide some means of security therefore you'll have to damage the cover to remove it.
Removeing the cover has been done before to the satisfaction of those who have done it, so there are already posts on the subject plus what is involved, not that I understood it as I don't have a Diesel... but they are there.

well i did sort of come to the conclusion that I would damage the casing how ever I was hoping not to cause other damage in the process as I'm not sure what's underneath

I'm surprised that some one who's done the modification hasn't answered, just one wire is involved, the one that controls the stop solenoid.
A feed from the ignition switch harness where it enters into the fuseboard is required using the Yellow wire which if I remember correctly is live in the switches second position.
