How much does it cost to powder coat stuff?

There's a few things Im making plans to build. A winch bumper, spare wheel carrier, and am currently modifying one of the two man bench seats in the back which will need painting or re-powder coating when it's done.

Can anyone give me an idea of what the going rate is for powder coating stuff? Like examples of things you've recently done and how much it cost.

Also, do you have to completely strip the old powder coat before getting it redone?

Had about 15m of railings done about £400
Yes you need everything shot blasted

as long as its powder coat you are removing. Apparently plasticoat is a bit of a bugger to blast off.

15m of railings, that's quite a lot of steel, right?

I was hoping someone would say 20 quid all in.

I assume the railings are a security device for your landy.

Happy to break out the blowtorch and scraper. Pretty sure it's powder coat rather than plasticoat. It's been coming off quite easy when heated by the welder. Guess ill have to blast the hard to reach bits.

The last lot of stuff I had done was galvanised and then power coated to when the power coating gets chipped, it still won't rust.

I had a steering guard that was just power coated but as soon as it got chipped (bearing in mind it is under the vehicle) the chip bubbled up and pulled about 8" round hole and keeps spreading now.
