well i just got a quote as a new driver for a disco1 worth 1500 and it was 2500 takes the p**s that was with flux and im 29 oh and 500 exses and only doing 1000 miles a year

It's a joke, surely they can see that makes no sense at all. I'm 28, HAD about 3 years no claims on my disco 200tdi and I pay about £200. My civic type-r is with churchill for about £500 and they wanted £700 for the disco so I went with Lancaster insurance for £200!

Been driving for 27 years...never claimed. Renewed insurance on 2.5 td5 110 yesterday and declared i'd had a snorkel fitted and insurance doubled
much ringing around..no we wont cover you, too many seats, you want business use to drive to meetings and you dont have access to another vehicle ( wtf has that got to do with anything? ) eventually get protected fully comp , £250 excess and curtesy car for £261 ...Liverpool and Victoria ...exact same quote as last year

Just renewed the P38 - 4.6 Vogue running on Gas (1 mod) and Stainless exhaust (2 mods) for £196 fully comp, with the usual extras, courtesy car etc. Thought that was quite good considering my renewal quote was for £320.
The interesting bit is that I have just changed to Elephant from Admiral - Both the same company!!!!

2004 90 , snorkel/rock sliders all declared , 9 years NCB £230 through Swintons as broker , but the actual insurers are Highway Ltd.

Trade policy. £999 covers virtually any car I own. Got three on at the mo all heavily modified. Covers any car for work use and mine for social and work. Limited to max 3.5t no American stuff and max vehicle value of 50k
Also got marine insurance and public liability all comes in at just under £1500 but I need it to do my job!
