hello there.
i a virgin to this kind of thing (forums & landrovers) but i'm getting a warm tingly feeling when reading all your humourous comments and advice.
i have had my disco for about 1 month now, gona start prepping it to get muddy.

welcome, once you get it muddy you will not want to wash it, have had my 300tdi for 8 months now and not washed it yet as it gets muddy every weekend on green lanes and it stops people looking at you funny for driving a "Chelsea Tractor", besides if I wash and polish it the wife will see all the scratches down the sides off the low flying gorse bushes!

just been down and give mine a jetty , been caked in it for a month or so since last green lane , only done it cos doing front & rear pads after work tomorrow , i got a nice rectangle of dried mud where i park it , think i'll get in touch with tate gallery see if i can flog it as contempery art

ill try that i might let the air out of the spare tyre as well every little helps especially with fuel prices the way they are
another thing that might improve my fuel economy is if i take the wife of the r,rack and let her sit inside not sure if the savings worth the hassle though its noisy enough as it is :D

well, am about to do my first spot of off roading this weekend in fife, :) an i'm gona try and make the mud stick. bit worried about my tow bar though. it looks a bit low and looks like it can only be removed with thors hammer and someone like slob weilding it.

Best way to get mud to stick is to drive around a field with a lamp and find a wet hole( make sure it's got some peat in it), get stuck up to the bumpers, try for 1/2 an hour to get unstuck then call farmer for a tow, leave over night and hey presto!!! ever lasting mud effect:D

The Landy has to completely dry before you start mind. There's only one thing that sticks to a wet surface....**** to the bottom of the toilet.
