Hello all,

My p15 manual Disco 2 suddenly started to hold on to revs in between gear changes. I have been led to believe that this would be caused by the clutch switch. I unplugged the clutch switch - no difference. I bridged the pins - no difference. Does anyone have any other ideas, please? Thanks.

Hi, it's possible to be something on that circuit, the best would be to plug in a nanocom or similar to see if the ECU gets the signal or not but if you can't get hold of a scanner check with multimeter if you have earth on the plug's black/green wire, if no earth splice into that wire with earth from a close point, if it has earth connect a piece of wire to body and insert it to the black/white wire in the plug, according to the result we'll speak again

Thank you SF, I'll have a look at that as soon as I can and report back.

OK, I'm going to admit my stupidity - publicly! I didn't bridge the plug, I bridged the sensor! :vb-groan2:
Funnily enough, it works just fine now! Thank you SF. Out of interest, did you learn your English from chatting on here? Your English is incredible.
