come on down then. We can be out sat or sun and would love to take you around some of our local lanes. Nothing too silly but some fun nonetheless.

Of course then you get a mate like spyderman who takes a perfectly good classic series... and morphs it into a super laning/offroad monster! now we're all looking forward to seeing how that performs!
It's all those years of me building Hot Rods, just can't get it out of the blood.
Just discussing tonight with Glenn & DB, the possibilities of fitting a blown Hemi in a Series.

i stuck a 5.0 ford in a dollomite sprint choped the roof and two doored it nice! then ran outa money broke it and scrapped it :(

I need to ask the following.

If you get stuck, do you have places where we can attach strops to pull you out?

Front and rear? Tow bar maybe?

I have a grunt... (9 year old) who will gladly crawl under the motor and get covered in mud to attach the strop, but there would need to be a towing eye or two to attach to

Chip, pair of Jate Rings from Paddocks, less than £20, for front recovery points. Don't do them up too tight though, they should swing loose from the chassis.

OK I don't want to sound like a spoil sport but you absolutely MUST have somewhere at the front to tow from. Buy a couple of jates from a local 4 x 4 dealer and they will bolt through the chassis using holes already available. If you can't be pulled forward how would we get you out of the mire?

what do i need to do to fit em?
will i need to driil and bolt or are there point already there?
what rating tow rope would you advise?

Chip, I have my Jates secured with the bolts and swinging, but attached to avoid fouling on the front drive shafts using cable ties so that they always point forwards. Seems to be an issue on the disco.

WE have tow strops so don't worry too much about them. If you want to buy some then get the green strops rated at 14 tonnes. If you have an attachment point then that is the major consideratioin. Shackes should be pretty cheap. Unrated ones made from steel about 1/2 inch in diameter are more than enough for laning and should cost about £3.00 max.
