HK Subwoofer thump when changing anything

My sub has started making a very loud thump when changing anything. Changing cd track, changing radio station etc.

Other people have mentioned the same problem over on rangerovers.net but as yet I haven't found a solution.

Anyone on here had it and got a fix?

Had that problem when my cab was moist due to orings, pulled head unit out an disconnected completely for a day or two. Put back together an went away..

Ah, I had the HU out when I tried to replace it with a DVD player. I gave in and put the original HU back in. I didn't miss any wires or connectors, but maybe one is dirty or loose. I'll have it out and check again...
