Hello, ever since I bought the my FL1 td4 2006 the HDC have not been working at all, it seems to be speeding up when going downhill with HDC on.

Also the light for the HDC does work I believe? It flashes green with the HDC symbol if this is correct? I couldnt find any posts about light working but not HDC.

Appreciate any advice

Thanks

Are you in the right gear when using HDC

Flashing HDC means you have the button selected but it is not active. In normal operation, this means you are not in first or reverse gear (the only gears HDC works).

Didnt know think about this, thanks
Ok - try selecting first gear, the HDC light should then turn solid green, meaning it is active and working. Better still, if you have a steep hill, then try it out! Start descending slowly in first gear, then take your feet off all pedals, HDC should control the decent at about 5mph. It also works in reverse.

Select any other gear than first or reverse, the HDC light will flash green. Push the HDC button, and the light should turn off completely.

Can I also change gears while moving? Or do I need to be stationary first?

If you change gear, then HDC will reactive and flash green.
If a manual, I think it deactives when you depress the clutch too.

The idea is ‘feet off’ controlled hill decent in slippy conditions - think off-road/mud/snow.
