8*100Watts = 800Watts
800Watts/12= 67Amps
thats just for those lights.
take into account other lights, heater fan etc then yu need a BIG alternator - at least 110Amps.
If yu run those with the standard 45A or 65A alternator, yo battery will be discharging all the time yu have them on - and the Alternator will be working flat out and might cook itself.

Cheers MHM...i noticed today the engine actually lost power at tickover when i tested the 'flash'..I have 4 100w spots and 2 legal headlights (b4 i put the 100w in)...
I'm sick of that bloody roof bar anyway...Think i'll put the 100w bulbs in the headlights, remove the spots and maybe just put 2 spots on an A-bar.

lol! like i say i wil have a squizz tomorrow and see what the computer throws up, if you are replacing though it is generally a wise idea to go for new bits as you never know the history of second hand bits... pipes are cheap though as a consolationI am sure my daughter would appreciate that
