Was there back in November. Most of the site is pretty tame, but there are some interesting sections that will require towing you out unless you have difflockers. Also, there are a couple of black runs that can seriously damage your vehicle - one of these claimed 2 front wings and an outrigger in our group :(

well last time i went i was in my mk1 hilux called "the talivan", we went round the intermediate course cos me pick up didnt have a winch... even that old bus didnt struggle!

tbh i havent been round the hard course yet but i have heard a few mates say that it is easy. would like to find out for meself though!

Well from what I have heard the black route has some hidden rutts which make ya landy drive down a wall sideways or was it a banking....nasty damage.....it can all be missed tho if ya chicken......:)

Black route as MM says can be chickened out of if you don't want to do any damage. Sorry I can't remember the numbers but the worst bits are :-

An under water track in a clearing where if you don't keep your offside wheels on the bank your likely to get bogged down and take on a lot of water.

A track through a wooded bit that splits into 3 running parrallel right hand one you will need to be winched out of a water hole on a bend, middle one is all boulders left hand one is ok where the track comes out onto the forest road you have to get over a boulder which is ok if you have a look first and weigh up how to tackle it, otherwise you'll damage your fuel tank, hand brake cross member on a 90. This whole track will do some body damage but nothing a hammer won't sort.

There is a down hill, It's the only down hill where you can't see the bottom, where you will rub the side of the vehicle against the bank and is a bit violent then there is a dip full of water you have to attack this in 2nd or 3rd low box difflock on and give it a good steady throttle or you'll get stuck and again take on water.

The next up hill is ok if they've filled some big ruts in otherwise you'll need waffle boards.

Then theres another uphill which looks like fun but its always been getting late so I've never done it.

Next time I go I want to do the black route starting from the end 'cos thats where the most fun is. You will certainly damage your vehicle at some point but apart from the track through the forest with the boulders at the end you can chicken out.
