I have now found out that I have disconnected my battery incorrectly; on my Range Rover Vogue, on a 53 plate. I did it the old way, just disconnected the +ive and the -ive and put it on charge. When I put the battery back the same way the RR would not start and the battery appears drained again. Does anybody have any suggestions, please.

Try a new battery find out what's causing the drain check earth straps

Thanks Dave, I bought a new battery. A 100v and it seems to have done the trick. But a week later the battery was flat. I have not checked the earth straps yet, I will try that.
I removed the CD from the Sat navigation because it appeared to be constantly on. Something I found on the net. I also bought a solor battery tender. So far so good.

Sounds like the becm is not going to sleep after locking the car have a look threw the window and check the auto transmission light has gone out if its still glowing your picking up spurious rf signals stopping the car from going to sleep.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info. I checked the park indicator light last night and there was no sign of it. The only red light to be seen in the car was the alarm light, flashing red just below the rear view mirror.
