Hi, Steven here from Stainforth near Doncaster.

Currently running a Discovery 1 300 Tdi, few minor mods, nothing special, de-egr, de-cat, 2" sus lift and 31" BFG ATs

Go green-laning a lot, though there arent many good local lanes, have to travel farther away, like Peak District and Wales.

Know a bit about Landrovers, always had em in the family from series through to this one. Brother has a Discovery 3, but thats only used onroad.

Would quite like to meet up for laning occasionally, I've been lurking as am guest for a while so know to keep an eye out on the greenlane threads and hop-on a run when theres one to suit.

Anyway, this forums already been helpful to me, hopefully I wont ask many questions but might answer a few in return!
Thanks.

Thankyou.

Read your finding green lanes article, very good, thanks. Do you go laning round Doncaster much their dont seem to be many lanes round here that are legal. I go to the pit area near Stainforth canal. Dont think youre supposed to.

Going to jump in on one of the peaks trips soon. Got to get rear diff sorted, think I broke something in it it makes a right grinding noise and mates said not to drive it, what do you think?

Heh, thanks. There aren't many lanes round Doncaster, 5 that are reasonable, 11 altogether, but most of them are single-ended so you have to reverse out or turn round at the end! The Stainforth canal/pit tip bit is not legal ... but yes, I've been there. It's, er, interesting, but pit slurry isn't good for bearings and 'stuff'! I wouldn't drive with the diff sounding like that. Maybe drop the prop and remove the half-shafts and out CDL in so you can run 2wd for a short time if you have to .. but get it sorted as soon as .. :)
