Anyone else from cambridge/shire area?
Yup.... Near Wisbech.... Welcome
Cheers for the welcome fella, liking the look of your classic. Any good lanes near you?
Thanks.. Laneing is not something I do really, the old girl is my only ride so if I f# it up on a Sunday.... there's no work on Monday !
Have just finished replacing the front wings so it might stand up to some off roading now.
I completely understand where your coming from, i would have bought a classic myself if i had the time and money to maintain it properly. I liked the thought of the LSE but they go for so much money in good condition. (any classic does)
at the moment my D1 is the only car and the work tow motor but still push it to popping the rear springs out. really need some dislocation cones.
so long as the servicing goes well on saturday afternoon then I'm hoping to get to yarwell but if the servicing continues to sunday then it won't be worth going for a couple of hours so may request to meet you guys somewhere along a lane
Is true.... making more and more it seems.... if you find a half decent one and you don't mind spannering / grinding / welding ....then they can be quite cheep to run !
If you can't do any of the above then I shouldn't bother getting one
I dont mind the work involved as im a fully trained gold level vehicle technician, i just havent got the spare time i used to have due to the family growing.
Time is something you need for doing up one of these.... that I can vouch for !
If you do find any where to lane this way of the world then let me now I might have a play... cheers.
looks like work has taken precedence today so will have to try to get out playing next weekend
right I now have proper hi/lo section, a new rear diff seal and a set of bull bars still need to have enough moolah for a winch but my truck is now fully functional.
so when we laning????
yeah same here I got sat and sun off next weekend need to get my cav fired up on the saturday though as it has decided it doesn't want to start, think it's throwing a bitch fit as usual. got to treat her right or she does something to cause problems
