Bit of "catch up" to be done here..

The month of march was upon me and the old D2 was getting tired, after piling 9,000 miles on it in a few months she needed some love.
However i needed a 4x4 for both work and daily duties.

My old P38 that i bought on a whim was sat hibernating under a car cover, so instead of doing the sensible thing and spending a few ££ on the D2 i decided to throw the cash at the P..

Unpacking her was easy!

Next up was the MOT situation, she had sat without one since 2018, and I was hesitant of it going through however

She needed a few key things, first and foremost..

WIPERS!

They were 1/2 price at ECP and even have a little spoiler on them "sporty" ;)

Here they're fitted!

Another issue is these Thor V8's are known to get a bit miffed if sat for a good while, so in an effort to clean her out some of this was added!

However being bloke i only read the instructions after i put it in the tank!!:confused:

You're supposed to add 1 shot into a full tank of fuel!!

Instead I added 2 shots into around 14ltrs of fuel! :D

Did no harm!!

She's ready!!

MOT time came and went.

Driving it there was a bit nerve wracking!

However with some right foot to clear her out, we made it there in good time. ;)

Upon throwing her on the ramps everything was jiggled and poked, thinking she'd fail.
However the tester was happy with what he saw, surprisingly!!

The emissions test was the most nerve wracking experienced, it was hovering JUST under the fail mark, however after clearing her throat, a good few hardy redlines! :p she passed! :D

This was a surprise, however she was driven out, back home..

Taxed insured and MOT'd..

She was put straight to work.

The old bus was hoofed around and the MPG started to climb out to double figures!

What a difference it was going around in the old 38a..

Anyway..

More to come!!

I've seen you mention how much a pain in the arse the Portuguese are at this car business!

Are they refusing to accept it exists, or is it just bone idleness, and the unwilling to register it on their part?

The wiring looked a tad weak, not really a fan of spade connectors, have to use them though!!

I give them a good squeeze when installing to stop them popping off!!

I've had them break and the wires slip out!!

Causing all manner of issues!!

The 101 is a rare beast, but there is a nice one floating around Hereford with a happy chap behind the wheel!!
