i own a 98 disco everything was ok till one day i put it in drive and it didnt move but when i put it into low gear and manualy shifted up the it was all there.is this common is the tranny messed up??what could be the problum anyone have an idea.please help my daughter needs it for school:(

Could it be that your high range wasn't properly selected. ie. It had slipped out of gear. When you say it works ok in low, does it pull ok or does the transmission slip. Think we need more info. Could be many things.

OOPS,
Didn't know he was born in a stable (Discovery) in Yorakshire.
He must at least know the Shepherds & their dog then.
That would explain the bright star over Ilkley Moor.
