I cant weld and need some help - in Essex or Suffolk anyone?

many thanks

Offside rear chassis section, seam has split (thanks to over enthusiatic mot ####)..... and two small patches needed on front chassis

nothing to do with mot tester, it has lamenated with rust inside and blown apart under pressure..very comman fault with d2's

yes thats what happens, the outer skin pulls apart .Im not lying , I know a fair bit about chassis on lr products
ps a hammer cant hurt a healthy chassis

Its true mate, ive had same and just about to get another bit done at the rear, it almost looks as tho its ok when you knock the **** off and it leaves nice straight lines on the upper and lower parts. But as already stated above the chassis should take a hammering. Personally id rather do that than find out the hard way that its fooked. Ive heard stories of rear part of chassis almost parting company during heavy towing. Now that would be scary. Because ive already had a bad bit i now take a hammer to my own every couple of months so i dont get any nasty surprises at mot. I use a spray type wax oil called dinitrol and every time I do hammer test I spray on another couple of coats. Its also worth doing as much of the inside of chassis s you can with cavity wax. Unfortuntely tho In some cases....like mine...its too , late, the corrosion process was probably well set I to rear part before i even bought it so its all about damage limitation now. You can buy replacement sections just for rear part of chassis if it gets really bad. Good luck with MOT.
