Yer profile says Freelander 2. The spare wheel if fitted lives under a large lift out panel inside the car, under the boot space. Lift the panel out and have a look.

Read the post in the link below by dunroof. There's a few things to undo, then pull the trim and the push fit plugs will come out.I did all that in the first place. We have one of those but it was an unfortunate series of events (created by the owner of the snake!) which led to his unplanned presence in the car in the first place it won't be happening again - although I'm sure this isn't the last time we will have to go snake hunting!Good result, pleased you have recovered your reptile in good condition!
Just a thought, but would a tank with a tight fitting mesh lid for travelling relieve the workload on little sis?
