2000 TD5 AUTO, I'm already having problems, only got it Friday! And this is a big one, I have got no drive! The M+S lights flash and I have lost a lot of oil, looks like gearbox oil redish brown, could it just be very low on oil?

Thanks

If the oil falls out ------ NO DRIVE!!!!

First find out WHY and WHERE the oil leaked out.

Second, fix the leak if possible.

Third fill it with the correct transmission fluid.

Fourth PRAY

Fifty try it.

There are two pipes going from the front of the disco to the gearbox and one for them is leaking, more when engine is running, I tighten it as much as I could, but its still leaks. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think its the oil cooler pipe, I guess theres a o-ring thats gone on the end of the pipe? Is it a easy fix? Time / cost? Thanks.

Lucky boy!

Fix leak.

Fill with correct oil (not easy to get this right - find someone who's done it)

Pray - say "There is a God ..."

Start engine and let it run for several minutes to get the oil to fill the torque converter and generally slosh about for a while.

Check oil level now, and many times in future..

Drive!
