Ok I am hoping he will come up and help need to get this sorted out asap thanks
My experience is with the ZF boxes fitted to the RRC but a look at LRcat suggests the later ZF on the L322 has much the same TC setup so my 2p's worth.
The ZF torque converters usually have what looks like a tube projecting from the rear centre of the TC into the gearbox itself.
The tube usually has two slots cut on the end that goes furthest into the box.
These slots engage with & drive the fluid pump in the box.
The TC MUST be seated on the box to a set depth to be sure these slots have engaged.
If they aren't it will still all bolt up but will damage the pump.
No pump = no fluid pressure = no drive.
Can't help with yours being apparently stuck - the RRC one just falls off when you remove the box which comes as something of a surprise the first time you take the box off. TCs are very heavy & an utter PITA to refit unless the box is hung vertically.
With a bit of luck Bemble will be along shortly to put us all right!
Ok up date box is out and I can not get the torqueconverter of it comes forward abit then stops but I have found a new oil pump and bellhousing for 150 so I have ordered that what's your thought on putting in a new pump and getting the torqueconverter off thanks
No the scratching is on the out side of the bit that goes on to the pump wear it killed the pump and I dont no if it has the upgrade
