Hi,
Apologies if I have posted this to the wrong place, new to forum.
So first Hello! Looking forward to learning lots about my Land Rover Defender and hopefully going to a meet!
I currently have Land Rover ( 1985) 90 2.5 and It looks like Ive got some Jobs I instantly need to do.
First on my jobs will be cleaning up the rust on the chassis, ive read a lot about this and it seems the best choice is a wire brush on a disc cutter, go to town, then get some good hammerite metal paint on there.
My main concern at the moment is when turning full lock I am getting a very loud clicking noise. It was suggested it could be my wheel bearings, but since Ive just started playing around with my first Landy, I was hoping for some suggestions?
Also, as stupid as this may sound, if im driving on road a lot, where should my gear stick be on the 4x4. I dont want to play around with it too much, but it seems like it should have more pull on road. And when I went use it off road, it sruggle to pull a truck out the mud, when another pickup done it with ease.
Sorry for all the questions and again if this should be somewhere else, please let me know!
I look forward to your responses.
