Hello From Barbados

I have join your forum in the hope of learning more about the Freelander 1.8k petrol. I bought a used one a year ago and I have not been able to save "one red cent" since then. I have had to buy, regulators, filters, propsafts and bearings, sensors, and, after all that, it over-heated and blew the head gasket. With the good reputation Land Rover has the world over, it's hard to believe the Freelander is one of theirs. Despite the drain on my finances I still love this vehicle but I need to know how to diagnose and fix some of these problems myself if I'm to have money left to buy BEER.

You've come to the right place. A search of the forum will soon tell you. That you made a huge mistake buying the K series engined freelander.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Had I read some of the posts here at your forum before I bought this vehicle I would have kept my money and bought BEER.
