Hello from across the pond in Canada

Hi All

I'm originally from Plymouth, Devon where I spent most of my life but have now moved out to Canada with my Wife.

Been an Avid Landy fan since they were a childhood obsession. Finally bought one a few years back, a 1977 series 3 (or would that be a 2A?) SWB. Had tons of fun but wanted something a bit more beefy for 4x4, so the following week I picked up a V8 hybrid. A total sh!t box to look at but the beast would go over anything.

I sold both of them a few years ago and fancying another now, this time a 110 estate diesel, about a 1992. Something a bit more practical for the family. They are non existent in Canada so next time I'm back i'm hoping to pick one up, or source one from a trustworthy dealer and have it shipped out.

I'm sure i'll have a few questions in the coming months.

my cousin lives in canada - Dartmouth (near Halifax ,Nova Scotia) - you anywhere near there ?

I'm over in Winnipeg although hoping to move to the dartmouth area in a couple years. Absoloutly stunning over there.

they have to have an electric fence to keep to the mooses out of the garden

or is it 'elks' over there ?

To be honest I have lots of time for Plymouth, It's a great city with tons of stuff on its doorstep. Only moved out to Canada because my wife is Canadian. I have to say that I do love Canada though, the opertunities are way beyond what the UK has to offer right now. We May move back one day.
