hi there im new to this forum thing.
i own a rangerover 200tdi 93 l reg.
having problems after fitting bigger tyres and lifting it by 2 inches.
when turning sharply the tyres are not in line with each other and seem to be fighting against one another.
could it be the castor angle?
should i fit castor correction arms?
it is the same when reversing hard lock.
the tyres are 7.5 x 16 on rangerover alloys.

a 2 inch lift shouldnt need castor angles correcting 7.50x16's arent bigger tyres just a different tyre, youy have gone from radials to crossplys, i dont understand what you mean by not in line, if you mean that one wheel is turning further when you have it on full lock, then try the other lock and i will put my shirt on the other tyre turning further, this is because the outer tyre has a wider circle than the inner tyre, its meant to be like that ;)

hi there slob
thanks for replying
it was standard 205 x 16 tyres on the alloys and i changed them for mud terrain 7.5 x 16.
when on full lock and you look under from the front it looks like one tyre is further round than the other.
this is only since fitting the tyres and lifting it using 50mm lifting rings under the spring mounts

hi yella disco
it feels through the steering wheel like the tyres are fighting one another and like tread scrubbing when on full lock

reet before we go any futher on this tyre thing,,, 205 is wider than 7.5

205 being mm's and 7.5 being inches.. you can work it out fer yerself.. and ah think yella's answered the bit about being out of line fer you

surely this is not right guys.
it is not smooth in the slightest.
i have a bobtail v8 with firestone sats 7.5 x 16 and it is not like this on turning.
the sats are huge treaded!!!!!!
it feels like it is going to do damage to my beautifully dented machine

what?? if it wur fine before then go back to being fine, seems like a fine idea to me but if you don't think its fine then thats fine by me. is it not fine by tou?

if i went back to the way it was i could not get out my drive up here in north of scotland let alone go and have fun in the woods.
do you think i should just persevere and get on with it

a digger would not get into the drive, thats how i bought a landrover.
is your disco a 200 tdi?
do you want a cubby bag in beige for it
