Hi all,
The heater is temperamental in the bus.
It seems to lag what's needed massively.
My suspicion is that the fan that sucks air into the sensor vent on the panel isn't working so it takes forever to sense the real cabin temp.
Does anyone know if this fan can be replaced as I will be removing the dash shortly to fit new android head unit.
Anything else worth replacing whilst dash is out?
3.6tdv8 2008 model by the way

Check your cabin filter to make sure it's in good condition. I did the one on our Volvo when I got it, but hadn't been changed for a while by the looks of it. It was like a carpet 🥴new one in and it was night and day.

Check with the proper experts on this forum, but the hedgehog has been a source of heater misery for me, and its replacement with a new one the source of joyful warmth. If yours is getting on a bit maybe replace it while your down there….

The hedgehog in the variable speed jobby? If you can select all fan speeds manually then it's ok
Mine is rubbish on auto, don't know why. It won't hold the temp and the rear face vents don't work properly, ever

Fan works fine in manual on all speeds.
It Definately feels like it isn't sensing cabin temp correctly
