Hi all. Has anyone found a replacement heater blower motor or unit to replace (with or without modifications) the existing one on a 97 300tdi ?

I remember rumours of a VW one, but can't remember much more than that, a sensible person will be up soon to change my crayons and answer questions

Seized solid, spent a while yesterday trying to free it off/get it apart but no joy.

Landrover ones are mad money (£340 ish), Britpart do one for around the £150 mark.
I haven't seen any others ...
And then there's the seal ... £30 (STC952) for a bit of rubber fluff ... mind you when it's all done and the winter comes it does give you that wonderful warm feeling inside and out.
