Hi all. Has anyone found a replacement heater blower motor or unit to replace (with or without modifications) the existing one on a 97 300tdi ?

Seized solid, spent a while yesterday trying to free it off/get it apart but no joy.

Landrover ones are mad money (£340 ish), Britpart do one for around the £150 mark.
I haven't seen any others ...
And then there's the seal ... £30 (STC952) for a bit of rubber fluff ... mind you when it's all done and the winter comes it does give you that wonderful warm feeling inside and out.

Yeah britpart ones work well.. the seal.. well just use silicon to hold the seal down the attach the plastic part afterwards to it.. did one recently with my galv heater box..

If you can get the motor off, I think you'll find it's the same motor as used on MGBs etc. They will usually be much less expensive.
