If it's pre 2003 u have to take out the small clips from the plastic adjuster(if u still have it) and pull the lamp(from one point at time) .... it's popped into the 3 metal adjusters......... for facelifted ones it's one torx screw aside under the air deflector and two screws in the bonnet platform.

Just a kind of thin steel "bobby pin"s like paper clips sliding into the small chanell which is in the lamp's plastic adjuster. U can't even find them as separate part if u loose them(at least i couldnt) ... Not very important to be there cos the adjuster is quite tight and doesnt let the lamp to fall out.

Thanks again for the reply you seem to have nailed It. As people are mentioning bolts on the top witch as you know mine don't have. I will have a look for the mentioned clips with thanks DBree

If you only want to adjust the beam, you don't need to take them out at all.

Take the black plastic cover off the top of the headlight. The side to side adjust is made by one of the top bolts inside headlight supporting panel. (8mm from memory)

The up and down adjustment is made by using a size 7 allen bit in a socket with an extension to a socket driver (as it is deep inside the same panel) You are looking down for a white plastic socket on top of the electric up and down motor.

Always adjust your headlights with the headlight load adjustment switch inside the car set at 0 .

Thanks for your reply but It sounds like mine is different I have no bolts. Its a 1999 been told to look for clips. Thanks anyway.

The bolts have a ball on the end of them that goes into a plastic socket - think hip joint.

But you don't need to know any of this if you just want to adjust them.
