Hi everyone, as said on phoebes mot an advisory was cloudy headlights, had a quick look and they appear to be some type of plastic but incorporate the indicators.
Do they come separately or as I suspect you have to buy complete assembly ?
Has anyone tried the polish stuff which supposedly cleans them. ?
Many thanks.

They are 1 complete unit and a PITA to remove because there's a bolt on the bottom behind the bumper. Some people say you can push the bumper aside to get at it - but it didn't work for me.

People have used cleaning products to brighten them up. There have been threads on here, and they've come up great.

You can get restoration products to remove the cloudy surface. These will require re-treatment every 6 months or so.
The plastic (Polycarbonate) is sprayed with a UV coating during manufacture. However it comes off over time which then exposes the Polycarbonate to the sun's UV. This results in the clouding you can see. You can polish this off, but because the UV protection is gone, they cloud over again.
I have to do mine annually, just before the MOT.

Metal polish or toothpaste, not too abrasive. T Cut might be a bit over coarse.
Easy does it in any case..

Many thanks gents, looks like a pig to replace, they reminded me of plastic protectors I had on my Rover 827
I was hoping they were just put over the glass to change headlight pattern as I'm
LHD.
As Nodge said will only worry for next years test but am visiting uk soon so could have picked up a set IF they were just like protectors.
Will try to brighten phoebes smile with Colgate !
